World Organization For Scientific Cooperation-WOSCO, together with scientific organizations of Great Britain, Germany, Turkey, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, is planning to carry out the International Conference on the subject of “Application of natural zeolites in medicine and cosmetology – ZEOMEDCOS”.

The Conference is devoted to the 85th birthday of the prominent scientist, Academician, Professor, Doctor of medical science Karl Hecht (Germany).

Date of the Conference: From 27 till September 29, 2010 (to be specified).
Place of the Conference: Baku, Azerbaijan, International Academy of Science H&E – AS.

Resolution

Many centuries passed before zeolite was given due recognition and its main mission.
It is impossible to imagine the development, progress and preservation of life on the Earth without the participation of zeolite. Research findings confirm the crucial role of zeolites in human evolution.

Today, we are witnessing natural zeolites being progressively introduced into many branches of human activity. In recent decades, a series of studies have been conducted, allowing natural zeolites to be used for serving human health. Mass production of the standard component of natural zeolite as a raw material for food and medical industries has been carried out in Russia since 1996, and a variety of zeolite containing products ready for use has been available on the wide market (Azerbaijan, Germany, Russia, Croatia).

The use of zeolite containing sanative products is becoming increasingly important for solving global problems such as human ecology and medical geology. Human impact on the environment has reached a level at which the ecological balance has been disturbed; the technological progress has dramatically changed peoples’ lifestyle and nutrition pattern all across the planet. Analysis of the centuries old experience of world peoples and scientific evidence allow us to conclude that there is a need for including in a person’s daily diet zeolite-containing products able to normalize mineral homeostasis, compensate for the low adaptation syndrome and get the body prepared to interact with the individual habitat.

The knowledge and experience gained in using natural zeolites make it possible to conclude that they are a multipurpose, effective strategic raw material for handling top-priority implementation plans for development strategy of any country in the world, the strategy aimed at protecting and improving people’s health and increasing the duration and quality of life. Zeolite-containing sanative products are highly competitive today. It is time for humanity to fully accept natural zeolite and its unique properties which can be well interpolated in the main problem of the planet’s population, which is health.

To fulfill this task, a joint effort by world community representatives, a union of science, production and consumption is highly required. One-way progress in any direction sometimes leads to paradoxical things, isolation of science from practice being an example. The main focus should be on popularization, education, informing people about the importance of zeolite-containing sanative products for protection and improvement of health.

Following the event, the participants of the 2010 International Conference ZEOMEDCOS have agreed that its work be approved of and highly appreciated. They have further agreed as follows:

1. To approve the International Conference ZEOMEDCOS as a standing international conference held once in 2 years.

2. To appoint Professor, Doctor of Medicine Karl Hecht lifelong president of the International Conference ZEOMEDCOS.

3. To schedule the next International Conference ZEOMEDCOS for 2012.

4. To approve the following composition of the Organizing Committee Board of the International Conference ZEOMEDCOS:
- Prof. Dr. Karl Hecht as Chairman;
- Prof. Dr. of geol. and miner. sci. Elchin Khalilov as Co-Chairman;
- Dr. of geol. and miner. sci. T.I.Novoselova as Vice Chairman;
- PhD in history T.Sh.Khalilova as Senior Secretary;

- Members:
- Prof. MD Mahbuba Veliyeva;
- Prof. MD Farkhanda Sadikhova;
- MD Sevinc Yatman (Istanbul, Turkey).

5. To set up an international non-profit non-governmental public organization “Zeolite and Health” under the German jurisdiction. The mission of the organization will be coordination and promotion of international research & development, production and dissemination of new types of zeolite products and technologies for preserving human health.

6. To elect Professor, Doctor Karl Hecht as President of the international organization “Zeolite and Health”.

7. To elect the Board and the Working Group for establishment and legal registration of the International Organization “Zeolite and Health” to consist of the following members:
- IAS academician Elena Nikolaevna Savoley (Germany);
- Director General of “Nov” Company and Director of “Healthy Nutrition – Healthy Nation” non-commercial partnership (Russia), Dr. of geol. and miner. sci. of geological and mineralogical sciences Tatiana Ivanovna Novoselova;
- Vice-President of the International Scientific-Technical Complex “Integeo-Tethys” and ZEOLINE Programme Director, PhD Tamila Khalilova;
- Head of Department at the Institute of Advanced Medical Education, Professor, Doctor of Medicine Farkhanda Sadikhova;
- Head of Department at the Azerbaijan Medical University, Professor, Doctor of Medicine Mahbuba Veliyeva; - Vice-President of IAS and the World Organization for Scientific Cooperation, Professor, Doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences Elchin Khalilov (Azerbaijan);
- Representative of Turkey to the European Commission, MD Sevinc Yatman (Istanbul, Turkey).

8. To instruct the Board and the Working Group to draft the Charter and other founding documents of the International Organization “Zeolite and Health” and have it registered according to German laws.

9. To set up a scientific periodical “Proceedings of the International Organization “Zeolite and Health””.

10. To schedule the release of the first volume of Z&H IO papers for 2011.
